Melville A. Munroe, 91, of 529 Hayward St., died Saturday at his home.
Mr. Munroe was a foreman at Cleveland Container for 17 years and then became a carpenter at M.B. Construction, where he worked until retiring in 1972.
Born Jan. 26, 1906, in Ottawa, son of Alex and Elizabeth Bell Monroe, he graduated from Ottawa schools.
He married Anne M. MacQueen on March 29, 1929, at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Munroe , a 25-year employee of Acco Corp., died Aug. 23, 1988.
A history buff, Mr. Monroe enjoyed studying the Civil War era.
Surviving are a sister and a brother.
Two sisters, Audrey Monroe and Phyllis McBurney, died before him.
