Boardman, Almeda C.
Mrs. O. H. Boardman died Monday morning, Nov. 29, 1976.
She was born Sept 16, 1890 in Arkansas, dau of William & Catherine [Fultz] Chapin.
Educated in the rural Allamakee Co. schools. Married O.H. Boardman March 17, 1910.
To this union were born 3 children: Mrs Frank(Lucille} McCormick Harpers Ferry, Mrs Dick(Vella) Harberts Janesville, IA & John Boardman Monona IA.
Mrs Boardman lived in Waukon, spending most of her life in the Harpers Ferry area. For the last several years she had lived in McGregor. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church & the Rebekkah Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and 4 brothers. Survived by 2 sisters, Mrs Grant(Ruby) Smothers- McGregor and Mrs Leonard(Helen) Hamilton-Davenport, Iowa, her children, 16 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, & 11 great-great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with Rev Roger Hawthorne officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons Richard Boardman, James Boardman, John Decker, Milo Decker, Donald McCormick & Earl McCormick.

Interment was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rossville, Iowa.
