Marthe (Martha) PEDERSDATTER /HANSON ANDERSON
Martha, her husband John and three of their four children emigrated from Norway in 1898. Martha was the oldest of the Hanson sisters and the last to emigrate.

She was probably the last since she was the first to marry and had five children in Norway. Her roots were deep. In fact, they were so deep that her daughter Martha stayed on in Norway when she and the rest of the family left.

Upon arriving in the United States, they went directly to Ogden, Utah. In 1901 they joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
