Robin G. Montgomery, 43, of 516 Ford Ave., died at 8:19 a.m. Thursday at her home. She had been ill with cancer and had been in failing health since March 1996.

Mrs. Montgomery was a nurse's aide at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital and later was a secretary at Culligan Water Conditioning Co., where she worked from 1974 until recently becoming too ill to work.

She enjoyed bowling, tennis and especially her home and swimming pool. She was a member of Notre Dame parish.

Born Oct. 1, 1953, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of Joseph and Nancy Hurley Bertrand, she was a 1971 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, a son, her mother and her stepfather, a sister, two brothers, a grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. John M. Demo, assistant pastor of Notre Dame parish, officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
