Mary Virginia (Dean) (Pace) Eoff was the daughter of John Wesley Dean and Elizabeth Culpepper, the former a native of Georgia and the latter a native of South Carolina. She was one of eleven children: Joseph John Francis Dean, Ann Elizabeth Dean, Lewis Gibson Dean, William Fitzpatrick Dean, George Washington Dean, Nancy Louise Dean, Martha Henrietta Dean, Mary Virginia Dean, Wesley Summerfield Dean, Alsey Thomas Dean and Irene Catherine Dean born in Alabama and Georgia.
Mary married Richard Pace October 1864 in Mellow Valley, Clay County, Alabama and by him had a son Columbus Washington Pace.
Mary's second marriage was to George Eoff as his third wife. They were married in Jones County, Texas April 18, 1902. She is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery. The marker reads Mary V Pace.
