CARRIE SHONIO ROBINSON D'ANNA

Carrie Shonio Robinson D'Anna, 83, peacefully passed away at the home of her daughter, Judy Ross, in Morrisville on Friday, July 6, 2001. She was born in Stowe on Oct. 27, 1917, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Davis) Shonio. Nov. 27, 1937, Carrie married Joseph D'Anna in Lockport, N.Y. They had three children, Chuck, who predeceased her, Joseph and Judy Ross.
Carrie worked for more than 20 years for the Clarence Central School System in New York until her retirement in 1972. She and Joseph then settled in Waterbury Center, where they enjoyed their years together until Joseph's passing March 11, 1984. Carrie then lived with her daughter, Judy, and son-in-law, Bob Ross, summers and enjoyed her home and friends in
Florida during winter months. She moved to West Branch Apartments in 1998. Due to illness in this year, she was again residing with Judy and Bob. Carrie loved camping, traveling, dining out, quiet moments with friends and family
and hours of reading. She was part of four generations and will be greatly missed by all.
Besides her daughter and son, she is survived by two sisters, Shirley Douglas of Stowe and Marion Maduri of New York; a brother, Carson Moren of Stowe; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Amber.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, in Trinity Assembly of God Church, Route 15 in Hyde Park, with interment following in
Riverbank Cemetery in Stowe. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Ave., Morrisville, Vt. 05661. Arrangements are by the White-Fiess Funeral Home, Morrisville.
