Jacob Coy "Jake" Reynolds, son of the late Irvin Reynolds and Dora Arnold Reynolds, was born April 4, 1908 in Elm Store, AR and died August 3, 1994 in Thayer, MO at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 29 days.
He was united in marriage November 28, 1928, at Elm Store, AR to Nellie Brewer who preceded him in death June 7, 1991.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Thayer, MO.
He is a retired machinist, having worked for A.O. Smith Corporation in Granite City, IL for several years.
He is survived by four children, Betty Rogers and her husband, Ralph of Thayer, MO; James Reynolds and his wife Lynn of Maryland Heights, MO; Ray Reynolds and his wife Betty of Thayer, MO; and Ruth Clark and her husband, Olan of Camp, AR; one brother, Lehman Reynolds of Thayer, MO; one sister, Clara Westfall of Perkins, OK; ten grandchildren, Keith Rogers, of Thayer, MO; Linda Ward of Thayer, MO; Marla Rogers of San Antonio, TX; Roberts Reynolds of O'Fallon, MO; Timmy Reynolds of Hazelwood, MO; Billie Bearden of Jonesboro, AR; Darlene Post of Jonesboro, AR; Janie King of West Plains, MO; Jo Roberts of Oxford, AR; and Kelley Atkins of Camp, AR; twelve great-grandchildren, Allison, Kim, Corey, Megan, Jason, Jessica, Taylor, Ravonne, Ryan, Ashley, Jennah, and Tate; four step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Nellie; one grandson, Jerry Rogers; three sisters; and four brothers.
Funeral services were August 6, 1994 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Murray and Rev. Cody Freeman officiating.
