Rosamond Essa Griffith (nee Giffin), passed on January 17, 2008. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who passes away peacefully at the Little Company of Mary, San Pedro Hospital. She was the mother of three, her first daughter proceeded her, Vivian Essa Green, in 1966. Survived by her son Robert E Smith of Wilmington, a past President of the Los Soldados de Cure de Santa Barbara, Her daughter, Danelle Ellen (Antonio, Jr) Delgado of Wilmington. Three granddaughters Rosemary A Delgado, Selena C Delgado, and Amber M Delgado., two great grandsons, Arturo Bonales and Joseph Delgado. And two Susan K Smith and Michael E Smith of San Francisco. She loved her cats and was kinds to all animals. Rosamond E Griffith was a meaner of the Los Pobladores 200, an Association of the Spanish Founders of Los Angeles 1781, a noted artist of oil, pastels and water colors, vice-president of the San Pedro Art Association in 1977, and the Carson Art Association. She taught at the Boys and Girls Club in San Pedro. Rosamond Essa Giffin a 4th great granddaughter of Lt Jose Francisco de Ortega and Maria Antonia Victoria Carrillo, the first commander of the Royal Presidio of San Diego. A 4th great granddaughter of Luis Manuel Quintero and Maria Petra Rubio.
