He was a former construction worker and a member of the East Van Buren Methodist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Eunice Bailey Shoop; two brothers, George and Dan of Van Buren; a sister, Mrs. Frank Jack of Van Buren.
Funeral services were held at Ocker Chapel with the Rev. V.F. Harris of the East Van Buren Methodist Church officiating.
