NORTH CHATHAM - Frances (Blum) Kane, 89, died Feb. 16 at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation Center in North Chatham.
She was the wife of Raymond Kane Sr., who died in 1998. They were married in 1942.
Mrs. Kane was born, raised and educated in Maywood, N.J. She was a longtime resident of Yonkers, N.Y., moving to Chatham in 1975. She was a communicant at Holy Redeemer Church and a member of the Sacred Hearts of Holy Redeemer. She was a volunteer for the Chatham Council on Aging from 1975 to 1990, and loved to garden, cook and read.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Jr. of Chatham and Paul T. of Whitinsville; two daughters, Frances Rae Daley of Odenton, Md., and Elizabeth Kane of Falmouth; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 87 Crowell Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial was in Holy Redeemer Church, Highland Ave. Burial followed in Peoples Cemetery.
