William H. Alton was the 7th child and 6th son born to John Sr. and Catherine (Adams) Alton. He was born on 31 Jan.,1805 in ( Note: I have him born in Knox Co.,In., but Judiepc has Pa.) On 25 Jan.,1838 he married Martha Jane Van Camp in Knox Co.,In. She was born in Knox Co.,In. on 7 Feb.,1815 and died on 12 Jul.,1870 in Knox Co.,In. I have no information about their children at this time. William died on 8 Dec.,1871 and he and Martha are buried here in the Alton Cemetery. I just received an E-mail from WLC telling me that Rev.
