He was the son of Christian Carl "Christ" and Minnie Arndt.

He married Mildred E. Schultz on 24 Sep 1925 at the home of the Bride's parents in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH.

Christian died at the Cleveland Veteran's Administration Hospital in Cleveland, OH and was buried 18 Jan 1979.
