He was born April 10, 1915, in White Deer. He married Maselle Clay on July 3, 1937, in Lubbock. He was a resident of Lubbock since 1932, and he graduated from Lubbock High School in 1933. He attended college in Brownsville. He worked for the Texas Highway Department and for Galbrath Steel and Supply in Lubbock for 37 years until retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kent C. Craig of Lubbock; a daughter, Donna Barry of Arvada, Colo.; a brother, William H. Craig of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
