MORRIS, Lula Jennings, departed from us and went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 8, 2003. She was born in Carroll County, Virginia to Currell and Dosca Newman Jennings, now deceased. She is also preceded in death by an infant son, Bobby Lee Morris; grandsons, Terry Morris and T.J. Morris; one son-in-law, Raymond Gills of Roanoke; and sisters, Stella Jennings, Ruth J. Cruff and Zelma J. Southern, all of Pulaski County. Lula was a former employee of Sadler Hosiery Mill, as a young girl, Paul Knitting Mill, Fairview Home and other jobs to support her children. Her survivors include daughters, Dreama Gills of Roanoke, Patricia (Roger) McPeak of Pulaski; sons, T.J. Morris, Sr. of Salem, Earnest (Lois) Morris of Radford, Trent (Diane) Morris of Dublin, Dale Morris of Spring Lake, N.C. Granny Morris's legacy includes granddaughters, Susan Cooper of Knoxville, Tenn., Jeanie Morris of Christiansburg, Renee Hall of Christiansburg, Debbie Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; her grandsons, Stephen (Lisa) Morris of Pulaski, Aaron (Coleen) Morris of Dublin, Mike Hall of Pulaski, Mark (Julie) Roger and Craig (Aleisha) Morris of Spring Lake, N.C., Michael (Crystal) McPeak of Pulaski, Matthew (BJ) McPeak of Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Amanda Taylor of Arizona, Bradley, Brian and Lyric Hall of Christiansburg, Terry and Marie Morris of Pulaski, Daye (Kevin) Roberts of Blue Ridge, Va., R.J. Cooper of Tennessee, Ryan McPeak of Pulaski, Alex McPeak of Mississippi, Conner and Maura Morris of North Carolina, Gerrick, Nicholas, and Joshua Morris of Spring Lake, N.C., Eric Hollandsworth of Pulaski; great-great-grandchildren, James, Jude, Adam, Eden and Leah Roberts of Blue Ridge, Va., Tucker Cooper of Tennessee, Xavier Hall of Christiansburg; two loving and dear friends, Katherine Clark and Lorene Bedsaul. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry, Rev. Charles Walker and Rev. Wayne Poston officiating. Interment will follow at the Newbern Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
