Mrs. Virginia Howser Titus widow of the late Burr T. Titus died Monday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. George W. Titus of Lucketts, aged 78 years. Death was due to infirmities of age. Her illness extended over a period of three weeks.
Mrs. Titus was born near Leesburg and has lived in the county all of her life. Her husband preceded her to the grave by thirteen years.
She is survived by four daughter Mrs. George W. Titus Lucketts Va.; Mrs. Charles Fry, Tuscarora, Md.; Mr. Charles M. Souder, Lovettsville Va.; Mrs. Charles Shry, Leesburg, Va.; five sons, W.R. Titus Tuscarora Md.; E.B. Titus, Point of Rocks, Md.; Townsend Titus, Brunswick, Md.; Lee Titus, Brunswick, Md.,; Marshall Titus, Adamstown, Md. Seventeen grandchildren also survive.
Virginia was the daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Haig Howser, and granddaughter of William Christopher and Rosanna Lafaber Howser. Her siblings include Rebecca J. Howser Shryock, Rose E. Howser Lefevre, Mary Elizabeth Howser Lefevre, William Christopher Howser, John H. Howser, Zelph A Howser, Margaret A. Howser Moran, James Richard Howser, and Martha Virginia Howser Titus.
