Bridget Diane Pierce Foster, 38, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

She was a member of Greater Deliverance Ministries in Athens, and attended Sweetwater High School, where she enjoyed basketball, writing and drawing. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gretta Maurice Pierce.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Foster of Sweetwater; three children and one spouse, Dumetree Foster and Rantay Davis, both of Sweetwater, and Janial Pierce and Christopher Meade of Niota; three grandchildren, Makiya Davis and Christin and Calie Meade; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and James Scudder of Athens; her mother, Nancy Sharp Pierce of Athens; her father, Alex "Tony" Pierce of Sweetwater; her mother-in-law, Birdie Mae McKever; seven sisters-in-law, Debra Foster of Florence, S.C., Jeneiva McKever of Missouri, Bonnie McKever and Sylvia Ann McKever, both of Columbia, S.C., and Nikki Barney, April Barney and Gina Barney, all of Sweetwater; five brothers-in-law and one spouse, Mitchell and Joyce Foster of Marian S.C., Onnie Foxworth of Pampilco, S.C., and Darryl and Van McKever and Glenn Green, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be noon Friday at North Point Cemetery in Sweetwater with the Rev. Angela Arnwine officiating.

M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
