Martha Ellen Sprinkle was youngest of the twelve children born to David Sprinkle & Elisabeth Metz.


She married John Frazee Test on 2 Jun 1875 in Rome (Stout), Adams Co., OH.


At the time of the 1880 census, Martha & John were living in the vicinity of Pisgah, Butler Co., OH. Martha's brother, Samuel Marion Sprinkle, was also in Pisgah in 1880.


By 1900, Martha & her daughters were living in Carthage, Hamilton Co. John was not enumerated with them. In 1910 & 1920, however, Martha & John and the family were in Chicago. At some point after the 1920 census, they moved to Cincinnati, as both Martha & John died at the Widows & Old Men's Home, 1310 E. McMillan, Cincinnati.


Martha & John had three daughters: Bertha (Bennett); Ethel May (Kennedy); and Edna (Marshall). According to Martha's nephew, Samuel Lafayette Sprinkle, Martha's daughter Ethel Test Kennedy had the Sprinkle-Metz Bible. Ethel had no children and the whereabouts of the Bible are not known.


Martha & John are buried in her brother Samuel Marion Sprinkle's plot. Their information is on one side of his large monument.
