Mr. Hugh Wylie Adams, age 78, of Saxe, Va., died Monday, August 4, 1980, in a South Boston Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie B. Adams; one daughter, Mrs. Frances A. Newcomb of Saxe; two sons, Foster L. Adams of Drakes Branch and Hugh Dudley Adams of Saxe; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Blanch Hendricks of Lynchburg, Mrs. Mary Skelton of Drakes Branch, Mrs. Pauline Adams Perkins of Kenbridge, Mrs. Susie Parker of Damascus, Mrs. Rosa Adams Chisholm of Richmond; one brother, Teddy Adams of The Plains; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephew, Theodore F. Glass of Richmond, niece, Nancy Glass of Saxe.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 7, at 2 p.m. from the New Hope United Methodist Church, Randolph, with interment in the church cemetery.
