OBITUARY:


Gerald D. Badger, 87, of Sullivan passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor in Hartford City, IN. He was born on April 4, 1927, in Shelburn, to Charles Badger and Lillie (Daniel) Badger. Gerald was a 1945 graduate of Sullivan High School, attended Southwestern Bible College,was employed at Pfizer and a minister in the Assembly of God Churches for over 50 years, pastored churches in Sanborn, Princeton, Sullivan, Jonesboro, Seymour, Marion, Edinburgh, Clinton, Rockville, Merom and Lyons, a WWII veteran, a member of the Sullivan American Legion. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife Barbara Lou Stark Badger, brothers, Herb, James, Malcolm, Keith, sisters Margaret Flath and Vista Badger.

Survivors include his sons John Mark (Debbie) Badger of Winnipeg Canada, Brent (Pam) Badger of Martinsville and Kemuel (Diana) Badger of Muncie, grandchildren Nicolle, Ian, Clinton, Lindsay James, Hannah, Braya, great grandchildren Alexandra, Alyssa, Jon, David, Joshua and Olivia.

Services for Gerald will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 27, 2014 at the First Assembly of God Church, 320 S. Bell St. in Sullivan, with Rev. Tom Turner officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, military services will be given by the Sullivan, Shelburn, and Hymera American Leigons and the Sullivan Veterans of Foreign wars. Gerald led a selfless life, his primary devotions were his family and the spiritual well-being of others.
