David Russell Barger exchanged vows with Trena Sue Brown on July 15, 2000, and they made their home at 317 Maple Street in Harrisburg. David Russell's passion was working on cars and being around kids, friends and family.
David Russell is survived by his wife, Trena Barger of Harrisburg. David Russell is also survived by his mother, Terry Barger of Harrisburg; mother-in-law, Peggy Pitts; sister-in-law, Felicia Pitts; brother-in-law, Brandon Pitts; grandparents, Mary and Russell Weatherington of Harrisburg; sisters, Margaret Marine Barger and Claudia Don Barger; brother, Dinker Barger of Harrisburg; nephews, Michael Austin Dakota Lawler, Justin Thomas Lawler, William Leon Riggs Jr. and Leo Don Riggs; and niece, Olivea Diane Z. Tison, all of Harrisburg. He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Debra Kay Humm and family, Kenny and Pat Weatherington, Kody Weatherington and Kyle Weatherington and family, all of Harrisburg.
David Russell is preceded in death by great-grandparents, Marine and Ellis Seets; great-grandmother, Flora Street; great-grandfather, Harry Weatherington; and cousin, Erika Kay Humm.
David Russell will be sadly missed by family and friends. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Barry Bascom officiating. Burial will be in Ledford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
