Mrs. Wallace, 89, Goes in Death; Funeral Friday
Mrs. Elizabeth Wallace 89, died at 4 p. m. Wednesday at the home of Mrs Neomi Hendrix, 605 East Fifth Street, after and illness of one month.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1856, in Ohio, the daughter of A. J. and Julia Geog Willier, and had made Muscatine her home for the past 15 years. She was married to John Wheatley on Jan. 8, 1874, and he died on Aug. 9, 1879. Later she was married to William Wallace, in 1910, and also preceded her in death. Mrs Wallace attended the First Christian church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Katheryn Pearson, Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Ash, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, seven sisters, one son and two daughters.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals where services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Friday by the Rev. B. H. Cleaver, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
