From A History of Delaware Co., NY
EBENEZER SILLIMAN was a taxpayer in the town [Stamford] between 1805 and 1810, was a farmer and also a painter, and his name is continued on the list in 1830, which was after his death, but was continued probably because of his estate. His life was suddenly closed from a fall from the gable end of the house of Captain John Griffin, when painting on the twenty-fourth of September, 1824, when 57 years old. Novatus M. Blish now resides on the same premises.
