RETIRED DISTILLERY WORKER DIES AT 81
James Patrick Alvey, 81, retired St. Francis distillery worker, died at his home there Friday, November 14, after a long illness. Surviving are four sons, James Alvey, Louisville, and John, Thomas and Edward Alvey, all of St. Francis; two daughters, Mrs. Annie Bowman and Mrs. Catherine Downs, both of St. Francis; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Bartley, Athertonville. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:15 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, at St. Francis. Burial was in the church cemetery.
