Funeral services for Henton Crockett Conner, 75, of 924 17th Ave. SW, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Fifth Ave. Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jimmie Rodgers and the Rev. W.W. Coffee will officiate. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery in Lawrence County, Brown of Decatur directing.
Mr. Conner died at his residence this morning at 1:30 after a years illness.
he was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Conner; five daughters, Mrs. Olden Reed, Florence, Mrs. Nolan Staggs, Florence; Mrs. Jeff Weaver, Anniston; Mrs. Clyde McMasters, Nashville, Tenn.; Mrs. Mabel Doss, Columbus, O.; six sons, Ed Conner, Courtland; Odie Conner, Columbus, O.; Kermit Conner; Columbus, O.; Buster Conner, Decatur, Buford Conner, Florence; and James Conner, Columbus, O.; one stepson, Claburn McNeese; Decatur; one brother, Tom Conner, Florence; 24 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The body will be returned to the home this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
