Corporal Charles Christopher Fulton was assigned to the 40th Bomb Group, 58th Bomb Wing, 20th Air Force.

On 14 January 1945, he and other men were unloading fragmentation clusters from B-29 42-24582 (Little Clambert) when a bomb fell from a bomb rack and exploded. This caused a series of fires and explosions that killed Corporal Fulton and a number of other men.
