Kenneth served as a Captain & Pilot on B-29 "Jug Haid II" #42-24650, 877th Bomber Squadron, 499th Bomber Group, Very Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Clinton County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted as a Aviation Cadet in the Army Air Corps on September 2, 1941, prior to the war, in Albany, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Actor and also as Single, without dependents.

Kenneth was married after his enlistment to Geraldine A. Easley on December 6, 1943 in Philadelphia.

Kenneth's B-29 was assigned to mission 51 along with 114 other B-29's that were dispatched to attack the Nakajima aircraft plant in Tokyo during the war.

Kenneth was "Killed In Action" when the "Jug Haid II" was hit by Japanese anti-aircraft artillery while over the target area, and crashed in Ituka, near Kawasaki City in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan during the war..

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in the Yokohama Cemetery #1 in Japan and was later repatriated here on June 14, 1949.
