Death Calls Elderly New Ross Resident
New Ross, Oct. 15 - There passed away at the home of her foster son, James Collins, Mrs. Ellen Marie Collins, at midnight October 6, after an illness of four weeks following an accident when she broke her hip. Deceased was 80 years of age and a member of the Roman Catholic church. She was twice married. One child survives from the first union, Joseph Morley, of New Ross, and one from the second marriage, Margaret Collins. Four brothers also survive: Stephen, of Hyde Park; Richard, of Somerville, Mass.; Thomas, of Stoughton, Mass.; and Alphonsus, of Wilberham, Mass., and four sisters; Mary, of Hyde Park, Mass.; Theresa, of South Hadley Centre, Mass., and Misses Annie and Margaret of New Ross. A foster son, James Collins, and six grandchildren also survive. The funeral took place from her late residence on Monday to the Roman Catholic church at 3 p.m. The service was conducted by Rev. Dr. Penny, of Bridgewater. Interment was in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
