He was born in Burley, Idaho to James R. Bowers and Lynette Elmer Bowers. He married Shanon Lindstrom in 1996. They were later divorced. He married Marit Skollingsberg in 2003. She survives.
He is also survived by a son, James of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter, Mazie of Rathdrum; his parents; a brother, Cory L. (Kristi) Priest of Anchorage, Alaska; grandparents, L.P. Elmer of Burley, Mae Mabey of Rupert and RaMai Bowers of Burley.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Michael Priest of Twin Falls; paternal grandfather, Clyde A. Bowers and maternal grandparents, John L. Jones and Frances Elmer, all of Burley.
