William Hunt, Jr. son of William and Sarah "Ann" (Harris) Hunt, Sr. patented large tracts of land in James City County from Rice Hoe on 3 Dec 1656. The largest patent was taken out on 24 Oct 1701 for 4342 acres, Charles City County, on both sides of the Nottoway River for the transportation of 87 people. In 1704, William Hunt, Jr. is shown holding 3130 acres in Charles City, 1300 acres in James City and 4042 acres in Surry County.
