Everett Jordan Southern, 79, of Route 2, Pulaski, died Wednesday afternoon in the Radford Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski County he was the son of the late William Neal Southern and Polly Ann Marshall Southern. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Zelma Jennings Southern; four sons, Fielden Ray Southern, Lynchburg, Calvin Currell Southern, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Walter Malan Southern, Lynchburg, and Ronald Elwood Southern, Lynchburg; two daughters, Mrs. Dock "Iris" Rasnake, Richlands, and Mrs. Lansford "Doris" Dawson, Pulaski. Also two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Lane, Dublin, and Mrs. Annie Mae Willey, Tallmadge, Ohio, and 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clifton Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Newbern Cemetery. Visiting will be this evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
