HOMER B. BLANCHARD, born in Fayetteville, Vermont, on 25 December 1843 and died 8 August 1924 at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Puariea in Plover, Wisconsin, of heart trouble and general breakdown. He had been a resident of Portage County for forty-three years, a Veteran of the Civil War, Co. D 5th Reg't and Co. B. On 11 October 1868 he married Frances Job, the daughter of John Job, she died 17 April 1915. Her daughter, and son. Dr. J. W. Blanchard of New York City, survive. Rev. Ernest Luenberger officiated at the services. Burial in the Union Cemetery in lot 6 of block 8. Vol: 14 p434 #123 SPJ Sat. 9 August 1924 Col: 4&5 p3
