George W. Webb of Oolitic, IN, died Friday, November 2, 2001, at Beverly Health Care Center in Bloomington, IN. Born on November 18, 1919, in Martin County, IN, he was the son of Stanley and Frances (Parker) Webb. He married Wilma King on July 20, 1940, and she survives.

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Sharon Brennan of Bloomington, IN; two brothers, Leland Webb and Carl Webb, both of Lawrence County, IN; two sisters, Edith Hackney and Violet Coyle, both of Lawrence County, IN; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Everett, Opal, Cecil, and Earl Webb.

He was a retired business owner and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He built and owned the Holiday Drive-In in Mitchell, IN. He was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F&AM and was a 32nd degree Mason.

Services for George Webb will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary, where memorial services will be conducted by members of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F&AM at 7 p.m.
