Mrs. Simpson died at Decatur General Hospital. She was born in Lawrence County to Drew Cantrell and Ella Montgomery Cantrell. Her husband, Frank Simpson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie Dutton and husband, William, of Moulton; one son, Stanley Simpson of Calhoun, Ga.; two grandsons, Dr. Jeff Dutton of Nashville, Tenn., and Mickey Simpson of Calhoun, Ga.; one half brother, Copeland Cantrell of Priceville; and one half sister, Ester Pettus of Falkville.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
