Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel E. Jensen, 66, of Askov, were held on Friday, October 20 at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov with Rev. Victor Nelson officiating. Miss Cheryl Lund was the organist and the casket bearers were: Viggo Andersen, Jens Lund, Louis Clausen, Willard Rote, Emery Nedegaard and Erling Christensen. Burial was made in the Askov Cemetery.

Mrs. Jensen was born at Sisseton, SD on July 24 1906, the daughter of Ole and Johanna Swedlund. At an early age she moved with her parents to the Brook Park community where she graduated from the Brook Park high school. She was married to Thorvald (Ted) Jensen on Feb. 29, 1932, at Brook Park and the couple made their home at Askov since that time. Mr. Jensen passed away on May 22, 1969.

Mrs. Jensen was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and took an active part in its activities. She was a helpful person in her community. She worked for a number of years as a nurse's aide at the Pine County Memorial Hospital and, previous to this, had worked as a technician at the Moose Lake State Hospital. She passed away at the Pine County Memorial Hospital at Sandstone on Tuesday morning, Oct. 17 after a short illness.

She is survived by one son, LeRoy, of Trenton, N and by two daughters, Mrs. James (Marie) Milham and Mrs. Dennis (Carolyn) Blum, both of Minneapolis. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Grace Fisher of Brook Park, Mrs. Lorraine Sorensen and Mrs. Viola Gross, both of Minneapolis. She also leaves four grandchildren. One son, Eric, preceded her in death in 1964
