Albertis Oren Engles, 63, of Provo, died Saturday, May 21. 1983 in American Fork Hospital.
He was born May 9, 1920 in Leavenworth, Kan. to Frank and Clara Harris Engles.
He married Edna Leota Clemens on Jan. 21, 1945 in Fort Benning, Ga. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
He was an active I High Priest in the Sunset Eighth LDS Ward.
He worked in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Wadsworth, Kan. He had also worked for Anaheim Union High School District. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow of Provo; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Jimmy (Yvonne) Gordon, Rantoul, Kan.; Mrs. Woodrow (Nancy) Rose, Leavenworth, Kan.; David W. Engles, American Fork; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. One daughter, Barbara, preceded him in death. Funeral will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove, where friends may call Wednesday one hour before service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
