Lindsey Eve Cunningham, 21, Lansford, ND, and a student at North Dakota State University, Fargo, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Merit Care Hospital, Fargo, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after being diagnosed Monday with acute myeloid leukemia.

Lindsey was born August 10, 1987, in Minot, ND a twin daughter to Jerry and Colette (Engelhard) Cunningham. She attended school in Lansford from preschool through grade 6. She then attended Glenburn High School, where she graduated in 2006. While in high school Lindsey was active in speech, drama, band, basketball, volleyball and was an honor student. Lindsey had numerous part-time jobs during high school and college.

Lindsey and her twin sister, Lacie attended North Dakota State University at Fargo, where Lindsey was a junior, majoring in elementary education.

Lindsey had spirit! It seemed as though she never missed an opportunity to keep everyone's spirits alive…from her funny faces to her crazy dances. She had so many talents and eagerly shared and developed each one. Lindsey was a creative person from her art to her writing. She loved young children. The minute she stepped into a room with a child, she was right beside that little boy or girl playing on the floor. She would have been a gifted educator. Lindsey enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She did not like being alone. Her favorite things to do included, camping, dancing, being outdoors, competing, talking and smiling. No Regrets!
