Funeral services for Virgil Henry Smith, 69, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Fort officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas-Wren Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born February 2, 1943 in Coushatta, LA and passed away September 17, 2012.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Miranda Smith and Kelly Smith; his father, Virgil Smith; mother, Lydia Ann Bamburg; granddaughter, Ashley Branning Smith; and one brother, Russell Bamburg "Monk".

Mr. Smith is survived by one son, Virgil C. "Peanut" Smith of Coushatta, LA; three daughters, Kathy Smith of Greensburg, KY, Karen Morlan and husband, Jeff of Marshall, MO, and Leah Bockmon of Shreveport, LA; one brother, James "Chuck" Smith and wife, Frances of Indianola, OK; two sisters, Margaret Ann Eberspacher of Kansas City, MO and Barbara Lee Gore of Kansas City, MO; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Rowe, Jeff Morlan, Kevin Cline, Paul Flores, Stanley Neal, and James Lafitte.
