Watson died in an auto accident.

The funeral for Mr. Barwick will be 4 pm Sunday at the Shelley-Brunson Funeral Home in Manning. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Barwick was born in Clarendon Co., Sept. 4, 1896, a son of the late Joseph and Rosa Ridgeway Barwick. He was a retired millwright employee.

Surviving are: four daughters, Mrs. Betty Laufer of Florence, Mrs. Lillian Wingate of Sumter, Mrs. Lillian Lambert and Mrs. Betty Lambert, both of Sioux City, Iowa; three sons, Watson Barwick and Joseph Barwick, both of Sumter, Marion Barwick and Joseph Barwick, Mrs. Miriam Cutter of Florence; a brother, Joe M. Barwick, Sr. of Manning; two grandchildren.
