AGED AQUILLA MAN BURNED TO DEATH AT HOME
Burned remains of W.R. Johnson, 94, were found Friday in the yard of his home near Aquilla, 22 miles southwest of Hillsboro. Mr. Johnson is believed to have fallen in a trash fire.
A son, J.T. Johnson, who resides at Aquilla, found the remains. No report of the tragic death had been made to Sheriff Ralph Allen at 10am Saturday.
Funeral services and interment were to be held at the Lebanon Cemetery Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. J.V. Baird officiating. The Aderhold Funeral Home at West had charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson had resided in the Aquilla section 75 years & lived alone.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Etta Barrett of Waco, Mrs. Eva Cameron of Altus, OK; and two sons, J.E. Johnson of Aquilla & W.A. Johnson of Waco.
