Glenn was a 1951 graduate of Muenster High School, received a Bachelor's Degree from East Texas State Univeristy in 1955 and a Master's Degree from North Texas State University in 1963. He taught Vocational Agriculture at Muenster High School 1955 through 1958; served as principal and social studies teacher 1959 to 1963. That fall, he moved to Lindsay and became the first Superintendent of the Lindsay Independent School District, serving in that capcity for 23 years, until his retirement in 1986. He and Betty had 6 children.
