Dorothy White Goodwin, 80, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, peacefully joined her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. She resided at 5218 South Huntington Road (3380 West) in Taylorsville, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born June 15, 1928 in Beaver, Utah to Rodney and Lucinda Anderson White.
She married Virgil Isaac Goodwin on January 22, 1947; solemnized on December 3, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away on March 15, 1991 after being lovingly cared for by Mom through ALS disease.
Mom loved to crochet and quilt. She raised three children and also had the privilege of raising two grandsons. She was proud of her family and found great joy in watching them succeed. She loved her Father in Heaven, her Savior, and associating with friends in Relief Society. We are grateful to be part of her eternal family.
Survived by sons: Wayne (Sandy) and Steve (Darlene); grandsons: Jason and Scott Steele; six other grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children. Preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Elizabeth; sisters: Beth, Anna, and Billie.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Taylorsville Twenty-Third Ward Chapel, 4932 South 3200 West. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and on Wednesday at the Church from 9-9:45 a.m.
Interment: Beaver City Cemetery, Beaver, Utah.
