Paul R. Snelson, 86, a lifetime resident of the Cashmere area, died on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Snelson was born on April 13, 1910, to Andrew and Martha Ann (Duncan) Jackson at Brays Landing, Wash.
Mr. Snelson married his loving wife, Alta (Hansen), on April 30, 1934, in Spokane.
He will be greatly missed by his family, and he was dearly loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Alta; four children, Delbert and wife Susan Snelson of Snohomish, Ronald and wife Susie Snelson of Wenatchee, Ethel Lester and husband Curly of Cashmere, and Carole Jennings and husband Peter of Seattle; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Eunice Prentice; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
