My brother, Terry Wayne Collier died suddenly after a brief illness of the "Asian Flu". He had been to the Dr.'s the day before his death where he was given an injection and was treated for teething, unfortunately in the 50's we did not have the technology nor the knowledge that we have today. Where do I even begin about my sweet baby brother and friend, Terry Wayne. I was only five years old and I can remember as though it were yesterday; that sweet smile and his little giggles as he would hide out under the bed as we played peek-a-boo even while he was sick...
I would pretended that I did not know where he was as I would then look under the bed and he would just giggle and with that deep belly laugh he was just so loud, full of life and contagious. He had the most precious smile and disposition any child could ever behold. That's one of the many things that I have missed the most about him; and, He had the most beautiful blue eyes and with his soft thin blond hair and he was the most adorable child that any sister could ever ask for. " I thank you God for giving him to us for that brief moment in time". Until I can do it myself, please give Jesus and my twin daughters a kiss for me.
