Isaac E. Holland, 68, of Millville died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Inpatient Center in Bridgeton. He had been in declining health for the past three years.
Born in Port Norris on Nov. 27, 1940, he was the son of Josephine (Moore) Holland Taylor and the late Hezekiah Holland. He had been a Millville resident for more than 30 years and had resided in Port Norris prior to that. Isaac had been employed with the Gorton Seafood Company in Millville most of his working life. He had attended the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Port Norris since his childhood.
In addition to his mother who resides in Millville, he is survived by three daughters, Natalie Holland of Millville, Linda Logan of Washington, D.C., and Kyatta Jones of Utica, N.Y.; two sons, Keith Logan of California and Richard Copes of Maryland; two brothers, William Holland of Bridgeton and Hezekiah Holland of Millville; one sister, Clementine Aponte of Millville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Margo Spence; and two brothers, Kenneth and Thelbert Holland.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the John Wesley United Methodist Church, Ogden Avenue, Port Norris. Burial will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Township. Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral Home of Cedarville.
