Clarence Dickerson, Jr., 76, of Indigo Point, Waterloo, SC, and formerly of Wilson Street, Laurens, SC, passed away May 27, 2009, at Hospice House of Laurens County in Clinton, SC.

Born in Clinton, SC, he was a son of the late Clarence Dickerson, Sr. and Sudie Mae Gruber Dickerson. He was a member of Laurens Pentecostal Holiness Church but attended Waterloo Baptist Church. He retired from Laurens Glass after 35 years. Mr. Dickerson was a Mason and member of Palmetto Lodge #19 and a Shriner of Hejaz Temple.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Elgin and husband, Larry of Waterloo, SC; a son, Joe Dickerson and wife, Valerie of Dacusville, SC; a brother, James Dickerson and wife, Anne of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Doris Butler of Clinton, SC, and Willie-Nell Jenkins and husband, Bobby of Joanna, SC; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by wives, Inez Lamb and Frances Kellett Dickerson, and infant daughter, Teresa Gail Dickerson.
