FROSTBURG - Douglas James Carey, 18, Star Route, died Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital of injuries he sustained when he fell from a moving car Monday night. He was a son of James and Agnes (Wilhelm) Carey of Star Route. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Julius and Darin, and a sister, Susan, all at home, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wilhelm, RD 1, Frostburg. A 1969 graduate of Northern High School at Accident, Carey participated in football and wrestling. He was given honorable mention by the Tri-Valley Conference in football and won second place in District 1 wrestling competition. He was a member of the Lettermen's Club and Mt. Zion Methodist Church. The body is at the Frost Mansion Funeral Home. The Cumberland News, June 26, 1969
