Amber "Boo" Nichole Houston Knight, 23, of 617 Grubert Ave., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at her residence.
Born July 14, 1985 in Fayetteville, NC, she was a daughter of Keith Michael Houston of Mississippi and Patricia Ann Lowe Bowles of Waynesboro.
Amber graduated from Stuarts Draft High School in 2003 and was employed by Alcoa of Stuarts Draft.
On July 21, 2007 she was united in marriage to Daniel Lee Knight.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with her family and never met a stranger and loved and cared for others.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Phillip Lee Lowe, Sr.
Survivors in addition to her parents, include a sister, Holly Houston of Waynesboro, step-mother Cindy Houston of Mississippi, a nephew, Logan William Houston, maternal grandmother, Margaret (Nanny) "Judy" Lowe of Staunton of which she shared a close relationship, providing love, care and support following her grandmother's stroke, paternal grandparents Joe and Betty Houston of Alabama, uncles Phillip L. Lowe, Jr. of Verona and his fiancé Vicky Kisamore and daughters Heather Lowe and Lauren Kisamore, Gary Lowe and wife Cindy of Staunton and cousins Sarah, Will and Emily Cummings.
She also leaves behind her best friend, Jule Bare.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Waynesboro Free Methodist Church by Pastors David Kurtz and Merle Dodson. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Clinton Stevens II, Tony Wilson, Jesse Woodard,Bruce Morris, Eddie Johnson and Ronnie Toles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jule Bare and friends from Alcoa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
