Elizabeth Ivie was born the 30th of November, 1855 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the seventh child of Amanda Jane Moore and Thomas Celton Ivie. The Ivie family traveled to Utah where they settled in Sanpete County.

In July 1873 Elizabeth married Andrew Jackson Allred, a widower, at Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah. She was seventeen years old and would have had immediate responsibility for a large family from Andrew's first marriage. On the 24th of November 1873 the couple made the trip to Salt Lake City where they were sealed in the Endowment House.

The following year, on September 11, 1874 a daughter, Mary Lunetta was born at Spring City. The family moved to Rabbit Valley, (Fremont, Wayne County, Utah) where a son, Francis Marion was born on 15 October 1876. Francis Marion was the first white boy born in Wayne County which at that time part of Piute County. Elizabeth died on 11 February 1888 at the age of thirty-two in Rabbit Valley, Wayne County, Utah.

Elizabeth Ivie Allred Obituary published 22 February 1888, Deseret News, Salt Lake City, Utah ALLRED -- At Fremont, Piute County, February 11, 1888, Eliza, wife of A. J. Allred and daughter of Thomas C. Ivie, aged 32 years, 2 months and 11 days. Deceased was born in Provo City, and left a husband, two children and numerous relatives to mourn her loss. She lived the life of a Latter-day Saint.
