GAZETTE TELEGRAPH obit: "Wilbur McFarland, 1731 N. Cooper St., died Wednesday at his home. He had been employed at Bain's [Clothiers], 32 S. Tejon St.
"Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Memories Mortuary and burial will be in the Memorial Gardens.
"Mr. McFarland was born Oct. 8, 1916 in Winchester, VA, and moved here in 1847 [sic] from Oldtown, MD.
"He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Mary McFarland; a daughter, Miss Elaine McFarland of Greeley; a son, Sgt. Mel McFarland, Sun Dance AFB, WY; three brothers, Kenneth McFarland of Cleveland [OH], John McFarland of Chicago [IL], and Loren McFarland of Cumberland, MD; and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Vapf [Zapf], Old Town [MD], and Mrs. Esther Rick, Washington, D.C.
"In lieu of flowers those who wish may contribute to the Heart Fund."
