Jane A. Newton, 63, of Rushville, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.
Born Dec. 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Lawrence P. and Samantha J. (Hockersmith) Cloud, both deceased. She married Maurice Newton Aug. 8, 1981; he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Melissa J. (Mrs. Ted) James of Rushville; two sons, Robert B. Eckart (and wife Tara) of Rushville and Eric J. Sylvia of Martinsville; one sister, Mary Johnson of Florida; one brother, Jim Cloud of Rushville; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy with the Rev. Charles Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
